LoveandHarmony is a five-bed, non-secure residential home for girls aged 12 to 18 placed by county children and youth agencies. An awake adult is in the house every hour of every day.

How we work
Four commitments
The girls who come here have usually had too many moves and too many new adults. The work is relational, trauma-informed and connected to family, and it rests on four commitments.

Physical and emotional safety first
Predictable routines, consistent adults, clearly stated expectations, and de-escalation as the first response to distress.
- 02
Connection before correction
A relationship with a consistent adult is the main way we help. Restrictive procedures are a last resort, never a punishment and never a convenience.
- 03
Voice and choice
Each girl takes part in her own service plan, in house decisions and in setting her goals, and can raise a grievance without fear of retaliation.

Permanency and family
Family contact is a right, never a reward or a sanction. Visits happen at least once every two weeks unless a court order restricts them.
Honest limits
What we provide, and what we do not
We do not admit to fill a bed. We employ no clinical staff and are not a treatment program; therapy is provided by outside licensed providers, and we arrange it.
We provide
- Awake supervision and care around the clock, with a check on each girl at least every hour, day and night
- An individual service plan for each girl, with monthly progress notes and a review every six months
- A health and safety assessment within 24 hours of admission, and a written protective plan where a risk is found
- Coordination of medical, dental, vision, hearing, psychiatric and behavioral health care
- Medication stored, logged and given by trained staff
We do not provide
- Locked care or detention
- Psychiatric inpatient care or partial hospitalization
- Medical detoxification
- Drug and alcohol residential care
- Nursing on site
- Care for anyone under 12 or over 18
